An investigation of the Pride truck stop on Burnett Road in Chicopee, Massachusetts has unveiled very disturbing news.

We hear from Michael Wilk, Chicopee police spokesman.

“The joint investigation involving Homeland Security was looking into the larger issue of truck stops as hubs for illegal activity, including drug violations, prostitution and human trafficking,” said Wilk in a local news article.

Within one week in June, according to a Mass Live article, five total truckers were arrested at this Pride truck stop in Chicopee.

“The three men [below]… were arrested when they attempted to obtain sex in exchange for money,” said Wilk in a local news article. “Each was charged with soliciting sexual conduct for a fee, and had their trucks towed from the scene [to] Interstate Towing.”

  • Roussko Rousskov, 61 years old, of Belmont, Massachusetts
  • Carlos Soto, 51 years old, of North Bergen, New Jersey
  • Steven Baker, no age listed, of Hamilton, New York

“[Both individuals listed below were] charged with soliciting sexual conduct for a fee,” according to a Mass Live article.

  • Nickolay Popchuk, 51 years old, of Westfield, Massachusetts
  • Michael Grossi, 46 years old, of Enfield, Connecticut

“Chicopee police detectives and narcotics officers, aided by the federal Department of Homeland Security, are investigating the truck stop for evidence of drug activity, prostitution and human trafficking,” according to a Mass Live article. “Homeland Security is devoting resources to such sweeps at truckstops nationwide.”
