Foley Services’ Employment Screening Service (ESS) helps companies ensure that their employees will be productive and contributing members of the team and not a liability. We offer a variety of individual background checks and screening packages necessary to make informed hiring and retention decisions. ESS clients can access ESS account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via our secure website.

Foley Services offers a variety of background checks to help companies hire the best employees possible.
Criminal Records Check — Includes a search for criminal information in the primary criminal court where the applicant currently resides.
PATRIOT Act Search — Verification that a prospect is not on barred lists associated with the PATRIOT Act. Our search includes more than 20 sources, including the FBI’s Wanted Persons, OFAC, and various terrorist watch lists.
Federal Criminal Records Check — Includes a search for criminal records in the federal court system nationwide.
National CrimeNet — A review of Electronic Criminal Records in 50 states. Data sources vary by state but may include state and county court dockets, incarceration records and arrest records.
Sex Offender Registry — A nationwide search of sex-offender records in all 50 states and Washington D.C. (Records shielded from public disclosure by state law are not accessible.)
Motor Vehicle Records — Provides a compiled Driving History from all 50 states. Some states may require a notarized release. All results are returned in compliance with the DPPA.
CDL IQ — This service identifies up to three states where a prospect holds or has held a commercial driver’s license.
Professional Credential Check — Verification of any licenses, certifications or other credentials specified by the applicant.
Reference Check — Our staff conducts interviews with the references provided by the applicant. We will ask each reference up to 10 questions regarding the applicant and the results are compiled along with any additional information volunteered by the reference.
Education Verification — Verification of degrees or certificates specified by your applicant. Applicant Grade Point Average (GPA) will be requested.
Employment Verification — Verification of dates of employment, title and a request for additional information about the applicant, including work habits, attendance, strengths, weaknesses and eligibility for rehire.
Social Security Validation — Ensures that the Social Security Number (SSN) provided by the applicant matches the applicant’s name. This search also returns previous address data.
Financial / Bank Sanctions Check — We will screen the applicant (or vendor) to determine if a financial institution’s governing authority has levied sanctions against him or her. We offer individual checks for FRB, FDIC, NCUA, OCC and OTS. We are also able to run this check on all existing employees and contractors on an annual or biannual basis.
Worker’s Compensation Verification — An investigation of applicant’s worker’s compensation claims. Anti-discrimination laws require this search be performed after an offer has been made. (Service not available in CA, GA, NM, NY, NC, RI, WA, WI)
Healthcare Sanctions Check — An applicant (or vendor) screen to determine if sanctions have been imposed by any of the 61 Federal Sanctioning Authorities. For an additional fee we can also search for state-level sanctions. This check can also be run on all existing employees and contractors on an annual or biannual basis.
Smart Decision Discounted Bundle — This package validates the applicant’s Social Security Number (SSN) and provides known addresses for the past seven years. A Criminal Records Check will be conducted in all jurisdictions uncovered by the SSN validation.
Smart Decision Max Discounted Bundle — This package validates the applicant’s social security number and provides known addresses for the past seven years. A Criminal Records Check will be conducted in all jurisdictions uncovered by the SSN validation. The bundle also includes a nationwide Sex Offender, National CrimeNet and PATRIOT Act checks.
