Have all your collectors met the requirements of 49 CFR, PART 40?
All collectors performing DOT urine drug screens must meet compliance training regulations established August 1, 2001. If you became a collector prior to August 1, 2001, the deadline to meet the new compliance standard was January 31, 2003. Currently, all collectors must meet the compliance training requirements including a proficiency demonstration according to Part 40.33 (c) before performing DOT collector functions.
There are two CRUCIAL elements to the new collector training requirements:
Comprehensive qualification training in collecting procedures (Part 40.33 (b))
A proficiency demonstration that must consist of five consecutive, error-free mock collections (Part 40.33 (c))
Compliance is easier than you think, so...
- Why pay costly "per head" fees?
- Why pay to attend expensive seminars?
