Do you realize that just one accident or injury could close your business FOREVER?
You NEED to protect your workers and your company.
On January 1, 2002 OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Administration) issued a completely revised Part 1904 Recording and Reporting Occupational Injuries and Illnesses to improve the system employers use to track and record the following occurances:
- Workplace-Related Injuries
- Illnesses or Death
- or any Pre-existing condition severely aggravated by the job being performed.
This newly revised system applies to most employers!
OSHA Part 1904 applies to any employers in safety-sensitive industries based on Standard Industrial Classification (SIC codes). These industries include: agriculture, mining, construction, manufacturing, transportation, communication, electric, gas, sanitary services and wholesale trade. You must comply with this regulation if you are in any of these industries. (A federal exception exists for those with fewer than ten employees at all times in the last calendar year) It is important to note that state operated OSHA-approved plans may require employers to keep records for the state even though those employers are within an industry or of a size exempted by the federal rule.
Foley Services, Inc. can help!
To help you understand and implement the new reporting system, Foley Services has developed an up-to-date video training package. This training package, OSHAs New Record Keeping Regulation: What You Need to Know includes:
